Pre-Alpha drive wiring

Fixing up my fixer upper and I saw the wires leading into the transom for what I'm assuming is limit switches for the drive lift. Those wires are shot and litterally crumbling. Think I am SOL or fairly easy to replace? Pictures to follow when I get a chance.
 
As Chris says. The parts are readily available from our hosts so please shop with them first. This is one of those jobs that may reveal other issues so be prepared to pretty much overhaul the gimbal assembly.
 
Im on it guys! And thanks, I was about to just jump wires and then saw how easy it was. Project has been put on hold for the holidays, but should be back at it soon!
