Buzzard

1995 454xl. Port engine starts up fine, after a few minutes of idle, the buzzard sounds. all gauges are normal. When I shut it down and start it back up no alarm and away we go. Is it a bad buzzard? or a bad alarm sending unit? I think I have three alarm sending units, temp,oil,gear box.
 
Buzzards need to eat every few days or so. Perhaps it is hungry!

The buzzer's are typically troublefree - they work or they don't.

The oil pressure switch is the usually failure item - of the three, that one sees the most cycles, by far.....

the other potential issue is the interconnecting wire - a short to ground = alarm ON....
 
replaced oil pressure alarm sending switch. All appears normal for now. We plan on going for a boat ride Sunday. (Sure is great living in Florida!!)
