1985 Suzuki DT55 wont go past half throttle/ not running right

I ran out of gas a few days ago and when it was dying out, the motor twitched bad and made a loud CHRRT screech a few times then died. I switched tanks and got it running again but now it wont go past half throttle. I can put the throttle all the way down and it doesnt wanna go. Plus the idle sounds different. It almost sounds hollow. Did i potentially mess something up? I know i shouldve just killed the motor when it started to sputter. Also any idea what that loud CHRRT screech is when it dies? Sounds like a quick metal on metal chirp.

Its called a lean sneeze, Suzuki 2-strokes are known for that, and nothing to worry about, it seems to me like you might have sucked up a bit of dirt when you ran out of fuel, that last bit could have been dirt collected in the tank over the years, time for a carb clean - high speed jets probably clogged.
