I recently removed the tiller handle from my 2015 Mercury 25hp EFI four stroke to install remote controls and remote steering (Uflex rotech). The motor is a pull start. The conversion to remote controls (all done with Mercury OEM parts), removed the tiller handle kill switches. The remote control box I am installing has connections for a lanyard kill switch, but I'm not sure how to wire those connections to the outboard. Can someone help?
A little more detail:
- The control box has a black/yellow wire with bullet connector and a green wire with a ring connection on the end.
- The attached image shows how the kill switch wiring was with the tiller controls
- The tiller controls had 2 kill switches: 1 button on the end of the tiller handle and 1 on/off switch near the outboard
