I have a 2008 30hp Mercury 4stroke 3 cyclinder ... I’m not getting any spark at the #2 plug .. I tested the coil and power is going the plug but it’s not sparking ... I’ve changed the plugs just in case the plug was bad ... still no sparking ,I’m thinking the coil is weak .. looking for advice
Thanks Eddie

Maybe there is not enough voltage to jump the gap. You need to test the arcing distance which should be 7/16". Do this with a #2 Phillips screwdriver, pushed into the spark plug boot, then hold the screwdriver shank the appropriate distance from a good ground. You will not get shocked as long as you hold the screwdriver by its grip.

As Chris stated swap coil locations, then if you still have problem remove the plug boot as have seen this type of problem as being wire connection burnt inside boot. Coil voltage cannot overcome the resistances and result in weak/no spark.
