Repainting Bayliner Capri. Stripping or Sanding the Original Paint.

I got a 1985 Bayliner Capri and the original paint is quite worn is some places. Can I strip or sand the pinstriping and designs off the deck and areas above
the waterline and polish the gelcoat or will the stripped areas need to be painted over? What are the options for refinishing the areas above the waterline?

Ayuh,..... I can see yer pictures much better here,..... let's keep the conversation here, insteada pm's,...

The rustoleum deal might work out for ya, if yer lookin' at coverin' All the blue,......

Yeah...that's right...just sand away the original design and pinstripes and repaint the panels "glossy white". Rustoleum makes a "Topside paint" that I'd like to
try for the blue color panel.

Thanks!
