I have a Mercury 200 20hp 67'
Put GL-5 gear oil, but afterward discovered it could damage bronze parts because of its phosphorous additive.
Does anyone know if this engine has bronze components, like bearings? I would then change the oil for GL-4, hoping there are no damages yet.
