Which shop manuals are Byers for the novice? I purchased the Honda shop manual for the Bf225 and it’s good but I think it’s more relevant if you are an actual outboard mechanic. Is the Solec shop manual a more step by step for the beginner?
Is there another repair manual?

Here is a link to an online shop manual. It's in PDF format, so you can down load and save it on your computer

The nice thing about this is it has a good search function. Scroll down the left hand side to the bottom and you will see a text search function.
