Motor runs, starts great. New distributor cap, rotor. Replaced fuel filter. Ran boat yesterday, ran great no issues for 6 miles. Stopped to fish. Half hour later motor will not go past 2600 rpm without chugging, sounds like its starving for fuel
Second time this has happened. Motor runs and sounds great. Fresh fuel. This motor has the advanced emission. Fuel pump? Any thoughts? Clean hull, temp is normal, intake not clogged, 350 hrs

di the problem occur before or after the parts were replaced? is it a merc /quicksilver cap you installed? lots of problems with the aftermarket caps

That's 'cause it probably is. Start with the fuel filter, and see if the tank vent is plugged. A good idea would to temporarily use a pressure gage to determine if the fuel pressure is correct.
