Oops...installing lower unit on 1986.....bolt fell in hole under trim tab

R&R lower unit on 1986 60 HP Evinrude. Got shift shaft hooked up and all bolts finger tight except last one under trim tab. Bolt did not go into threaded hole but rather fell into a cavity right below the threaded hole. After much wrangling with a piece of wire I managed to fish the bolt out but I can not locate the lock washer, despite trying a wire with adhesive side out tape wrapped around it.

So..... do I have to separate the lower unit again to retrieve the washer? lf it won't hurt anything laying in there I'll leave it as I would rather not take everything apart again. OTOH if it has the potential for any kind of damage or trouble of course I'll remove it again. For those that understand the in's and out's of these out drives I appreciate your advice!

Something I have used to retrieve things like that when a magnet or tape rigged on something is a vacuum/shop vac.Rigged up some hoses of different diameter until I could fit it in place I needed.
