I have a 1997 15hp Johnson pull start that recently started only starting from the reverse position. In order to get it to start in Neutral I have to push up on the cam starter lockout that hooks up to the linkage coming from the lower unit. The linkage coming from the lower unit appears to be fine along with all the components that make up the plunger starter lockout mechanism. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
