1975 Mercury 200-20hp lower

I have a 1975 Mercury 200-20hp outboard that I picked up for 20 bucks. It has low hours and starts on the first pull. The lower unit is bad though. Does anyone know if I can pull the lower unit off a 92 20hp Mercury outboard and pair it with mine? I found a 92 locally for less than $100 bucks but the engine itself has issues but the lower unit is good.

No that will not work they are completely different. You would need a lower from about a 74-80 model motor. Those lowers don't even look the same.
