Water separator filter

Hi Guys

I just replaced my water separator filter with one with a clear bowl on the bottom. I just want to confirm my understanding

So if the bowl is full of fuel, all is a ok. If water is present it will be visible at the bottom of the bowl?
 
Yeah, that's correct. If there's no water at the bottom of the separator filter, then it's very unlikely that you have water elsewhere in the fuel system.
 
Most Yams I work on have a filter on the motor,
It's clear and has a float system that show if there's water in the filter.

Add the boat, motor info to your signature.
