Hello, new to the group. Thanks for the add.
I have a pair of 2014 DF 40's I bought used with 50 hours. When I bought them I changed impellers among other parts. Lower units came out easy. Next time I changed impellers I had a lot of trouble removing lower units. I have the same problem again. Lower units are removed but they don't go back in smoothly as they should. I might have used the wrong grease when I changed the impeller the first time. Shaft is not bent. Seems like it may be a little rusty or dirty where shaft attaches block. Anybody here had this problem? Or can offer ideas on how to fit it?
