The juice created by an outboard alternator isn't going to be enough to have much effect on a trolling motor battery. Your best bet is to get a Group 31 deep cycle battery and connect it to an onboard automatic charger. When you're done on the water plug in the charger, get the battery juiced up, then unplug it.is there an easy way to add an alternator/generator to my 1956 Johnson 30 hp???
