Hello,
I recently acquired an 88 Bayliner with an 85 Force motor. Initial issue was that it would not start without aiding the carbs. Once it ran, it topped out at 25 mph. Since then I have rebuilt/cleaned the carbs and now it starts and idles smoothly. New issue is that although it moves in reverse fine, it will die and literally kill off the battery going forward (have to wait a couple minutes to regain battery). I never touched anything but the carbs and adjusted the throttle cam. Any ideas on what this could be?
