Converting Yamaha f4hp to f6hp; Please help!

Hi all,

I've newly inherited a small john boat from my father which has a Yamaha 4hp motor on it. It is a great boat however going against the tide or the wind seems to stop it from getting up on a plane. If i'm going with the tide or wind it seems to plane nicely and once it does my speed is a lot better.
I'm wanting to modify my motor to make it a 6hp because I think it would be just enough power to get it onto plane all the time.
I have heard that changing the carb to the 6hp version is all that is required?
Do I also need to change the exhaust or the CDI unit?

I'm very new to tinkering with motors as well and was going to ask my local outboard wrecker for the parts. Could somebody also help me with the part numbers for my model of motor (see images below for a picture)? I have tried trolling through the f6 manual but am just not sure if I have the right numbers and I really don't want to buy the wrong part. Thank you for taking the time to have a read and help!outboard-model.jpg
