    need fuel pump for 1986 OMC cobra 4.6 liter, is sierra as good as OEM on fuel pumps ?? $120.00 difference

    OMC has not produced parts for years. OMC was gone at the end of 1993.
    You'd need to turn to Bombardier (a subsidiary of Canadian Muntinational Bombardier Recreational Products) for OEM equivalents.
    Even at that, most fuel pumps will have been manufactured by the same companies who supply Sierra with fuel pumps.

    By the way, I believe that you meant 1986 OMC cobra 4.3L !

    The OEM pump on those was a Carter mechanical pump, Carter M60201, or Sierra 18-7289 can be used in its place, it fits and works the same as the orginal
