I am getting ready to setup our 2003 Four Winns 260H with a 6.2LMX and Bravo 3 drive with an internal full hydraulic steering setup. Does anybody know what stops the side to side travel of the Bravo 3? The Mercruiser steering ram has 8” of full travel and the steering arm only travels about 6.75” and then the drive stops and the relief valve on the power steering pump opens. This means that something other than the ram travel is stopping the drive movement. I have checked inside and the steering arm is not making contact with the transom plate or the transom. It must be something externally like the gimbal ring to the gimbal housing? Any help is appreciated!
