So, I have a 2013 BF 250 XXA.
It has the funky clip, not like almost all other outboards. Like a three-legged end that depresses a small springloaded button on the end of the switch.

#3 - you'll have to magnify to see it.
So, it sucks. Keeps working itself loose under certain wave/chop conditions (virbrations I guess). I replaced the cord with a new one and it is still doing the same thing. I have to assume that the Switch Assembly piece must be worn (plastic) after 6 years and even a new cord isn't going to solve my problem.
So, I went online to find a replacement Switch Assembly - looks like they no longer work the same way. Now they are more like the Yamaha and others with a much simpler, tighter clip.

Can I simply swap out the old one for the new one above? I assume the wires just plug into the harness like the old one.
