Tube Set, Oil - BF150

Quick question—-what is the role of this part (part 22 on the diagram) referred to as the “tube set, oil”? I see it connects to the head cover and then to what looks like the oil pan. Thanks!!

That tube as you said connects the head cover to the mount case where the oil is returned to the oil pan from the power head
 
Perfect. Thank you! I was advised to change this part each oil change and use where it connects to suck the oil out in the fall when I do the change—-had never heard that before!
 
That is not correct. If you want to suck the oil out you can do it through the dipstick tube using a thin nylon tube
