There is a problem with a sensor. If there was a problem with a key switch, there would possibly be one beep as the ecm resets.

You need to have your engine scanned by someone who actually knows how to use a scan tool, not just look at active faults.

You have to look in the history and fault seconds.

On your engine oil tank there is a oil level sensor, Blue wires, make a jumper and hook the wires together on the engine side and retest. If this corrects your problem, it will not be the sensor but the oil tank float, you will need to replace the complete tank.

I did jumper the wires from the oil sending switch alarm did not come in but it goes against the no continuity test for probe . Oil cap is leaking have to change unit anyway

    Trying to decipher this sentence....

So you jumped the oil level sensor wires on the engine side and the alarm did not sound? Correct?

If this was the case, the engine mounted oil tank float is saturated/heavy and has sunk to the bottom of the slide.

Correct.Tthe seloc repair book said there should be no continuity on probe when inserted into reservoir if there is probe is bad. The. Vent cap comes loose sometimes and spills oil .l tighten it but sometimes I find it loose .read other people had this problem also

Seems like the Seloc book is incorrect. There should be continuity on the probe when in a full oil tank. When it goes open the alarm sounds. Jumping the wires together and getting no alarm tells you that.

Seloc manuals have replaced the Sears Roebuck catalog in the outhouse.

I have never changed a probe. Just the tank. The new tank will come with a new probe.
