Hi
Not sure if I am in the correct place - its my first post (i think!)
I have a Viking 23 Cabin Cruiser with a Honda BF30A outboard that has remote throttle and remote steering - there is a lot of play in the mechanical steering linkage which makes it difficult to keep the boat heading in a straight line (before wine!). There seems to be about 10-15 degrees of play at the point where the 'steering wheel' is connected to the linkage - there is also a noticeable play of about 3/4" where the cable enters the outboard frame (there is a right-hand thread nut here).
Does anyone know the procedure to tight up this 'play' and make it more responsive??
Any help/pointers greatly appreciated - could take pics if it might help
Regards
Andy
