I have a 1997 100 hp mariner four cylinder two-stroke . I took all four carburetors apart and clean them put new gaskets on it and reinstalled. the top #1 carburetor is leaking fuel. Someone told me it could be due to the float level. How do I set the float level? Thanks

Take the number 1 carb off. Remove the float bowl. Invert the carb. The float should sit level with the base of the carb. If not adjust the tang that stops on the casting of the seat. Do not bend at the float. Or it will not sit level

Do this as well: Clamp the carb in a vise, hook a tank up to it, and pump the blub solid. If it still leaks, drop the float level 1/16 inch at a time until it stops.
