Early 80's 7.5 Merc compression

On the starboard side of the block there is a wee plate.----1-1/4" by 4" with 3 screws holding it in place.----Remove that plate to inspect pistons and rings.----Rotate fywheel to get a good picture.----You can make a new gasket.----If it overheated badly there may be other inspections to do as well.
 
You can read all the information you want.-----Just inspect through the intake ports .----Is your gauge accurate / calibrated ?
 
I took the wee plate off and pistons and rings look fine. I got the impeller disassembled, that is obviously shredded with most of it un accounted for. Now I have to figure out where the rest of the parts to the impeller ended up.
