Hi,
I am experiencing the common vapor lock issue and am trying to find an affordable booster fuel pump solution.
Twin Engines: 1999 Mercruiser 4.3L EFI (TBI)
The mercruiser plug and play kits will run me $900 in parts and then 2-3 hours labor totalling $1200.
For $160, I am thinking of installing 2 ($60 a piece) Carter Universal Marine Electric Fuel Pumps: 72 gph at 6-8 psi Output (Part Number: 180-P4594) using relays.

Question is where would I pick up the power lead on the engine to trigger the relay?
It seems like a pretty easy fix/install, but I don't see any posts regarding this pump or similar installations. Am I missing something? Anyone have any advice or input to share?
Thanks in advance for your help.
