BF100 10HP motor identification

I just bought a Honda 10 hp motor, S/N B100-1200677. I cannot find this serial number anywhere when trying to find parts. I know parts for these motors are getting harder to find, but anyhelp would be appreciated. Ill post some pics as soon as I can. Thanks

The number typically used for parts on Honda outboards is the "frame number".
As the name implies, this number is usually located on the starboard side of the tilt frame below the power head.

These numbers on those pre '97 outboards were printed on cheap, stick on adhesive labels. The numbers could be easily rubbed off the label and the labels could be easily peeled or fall away.

The good news is that MOST of the parts on those old gals will interchange. If it is a 10hp and looks like your motor, the parts are likely to be the same.
