Stuck in reverse (Honda four stroke 30 hp)

Dear forum i have a strange problem. My honda four stroke(30 hp) is stuck in reverse and no matter what I do with the throttle it willnot go into neutral and even if I push the throttle forward it just increasesthe speed backwards.
What can be wrong and how can I fix it?

Is it forward control or tiller. If forward( or remote) control, the shift cable may be broken. The only other possibility is the barrel nut that links the top and bottom shift shafts has come undone.
