Port Engine wont Charge

7.4 mercs starboard battery puts out14.4 volts all ok Port alternator puts out 14.3 from the terminals but it never gets to the battery which reads the standard 12 volts. Also port volt gauge on dash reads 0 Can anybody help ?? Thanks, Deano
 
Ayuh,..... The alternator charge wire meets the battery cable at the big post on the starter,......

I'm guessin' it's broken or corroded,....
 
The alternator is hooked to something, if it wasn't you would be showing 40+ volts on the back of the alternator.

7.4s? you probably have a battery isolator that has failed.
