So my buddy has my 8.1L (fuel injected) taken out of my 1997 Pursuit Denali 2460 and is starting to get it apart for what we believe will be new pistons and such.
I found a document on identifying VP engines but it doesn't seem to give us much as we can find no plate and no decal on this 8.1L engine.
What insight can the gurus of engines give us so we can order the correct parts. Were all the 8.1L created equal or are these early ones different then the later ones we seem see mentioned the most (approx. 2000+).
Thoughts on figuring this out?
Again, usually when I look up parts most parts places seem to only think the 8.1L exists from approx.
Just from one website I these all mentioned, ouch!
