    Default Resource to identify engine

Is there a resource to lookup what type of engine I have by model Number and serial number?

In 1985, most of the Marine small block Fords were the Windsor version..... 5.0 and 5.8!
The big blocks were commonly the 460!

if you are looking for the Model Number decoder, they are typically found in the factory service manuals and some of the owners manuals.

I've never seen anything showing details by serial number, for an individual engine.....

A bona fide dealer should be able to do it as well...
