The following is a list of issues with my E115PLEEC engine:
(1) Sporadic skipping at mid to high rpms, (2) gradual loss of power above 4,000 rpms, (3) Surging at start up - (3i) rpms shoot to 3,000-4,000 rpms or (3ii) rpms hunt from 800 to 2,200 rpms. Engine has always given me troubles upon restart, especially when warm; even though I have replaced Starter Relay, Starter, Power Supply and Bendex Gear (failed) & plastic housing over rotor/stator and reset speed sensor gap, as well as repaired speed sensor wire as it was pinched.
Local Evinrude Dealer/Mechanic unable to diagnose problem and gave me boat back after 6 weeks F.O.C. They stated that they looked into or eliminated FUEL, SPARK, SPARK PLUGS, VACUUM LEAKS, CHANGED (1) INJECTOR OUT.
I am at a loss. My next steps were to send EEM out for diagnostics/repair/replacement.
