Hi,
i would like to know the purpose of the the small screw next to the water pass through on the Volvo penta sx drive intermediate housing?

SEQ # 68 is a water drain port plug in the gimbal bell..... aka pivot housing.
It can be removed to eliminate any vacuum that may prevent water from draining during winterizing.

Make sure that the O-ring is in good condition, and make sure that this plug is tight............. one small suction breach will affect your seawater pump's ability to pull water in.
