Hey guys,

I have this 9.8 Mercury 110 that is begging to be fixed lol. So far i have dropped the impeller to find that it was grinded into little pieces, and all though the cooling system was in shambles the engine still seems to be in good shape (I will repair the impeller). One Problem i am running into though, is that the spark plug for the top cylinder has intermittent spark. i was hoping to get some advice on where to begin troubleshooting, any useful guides or links and hopefully someone knows how to fix this!

I have put in new plugs (BUHW-2), is there any spots i can test with my multi-meter?

I will include some photos for reference.

Thanks
- Mike

T]If there's no black switch box, that's the infamous Phase Maker system. If so, the points and the plastic block that holds them is likely the problem. But first, swap the coil wires and see is the problem follows.
