This is kind of a what if question. A friend of mine says he blew up the power head on his 9.9 Bigfoot. I am wondering if it might be worthwhile to find another power head and repair this motor. Questions
1 Are all parts readily available for this motor?
2. I see several power heads on eBaybut am not sure of the serial number of the motor so l am just guessing a used power head would run from $300 to $600. What advice would you have on finding a reputable seller?
3. I assume the lower end of the motor is good. Any opinions on what this is worth?
4 And finally what is a good used 9.9 worth on the market? I wouldn't want to put more in a repaired motor than what it's worth.
I'm considering using this motor as a kicker motor on my Tracker Targa.
