Have a pair of 04 BF225 on a World Cat. The only problem I am having is with corrosion dust getting into the starter shaft and freezing it up. Looks like I bought a problem. Anyone have this kind of problem? The first month or so after I bought the boat thing went well then all of a sudden had to have the starter rebuilt. One month later had to replace the starter this time. one month later and had take the starter back because starter sprocket would not deploy to the flywheel. Now 2 weeks later and just bought another starter. I have vaccumed the inside of the starter housing and flywheel. trying to get all the corrosion dust out. Was wondering if I were to spray a corrosion inhibitor TC11 in and around the flywheel area will this cause any problems.
