Be careful with your carburettor "O" rings.

2010 DF9.9a (4 stroke) I have had it since new.

It started stalling whilst trolling.

Removed the carburettor for a dismantle & thorough cleanand on removing the mixture screw the "O" ring was found to be split. ( It has never had a tamper proof cap unless it was removed on the pre delivery service)

I contacted my local Suzuki dealer to order the required carb gaskets and asked them to include the mixture screw "O" ring and was surprised to hear that the "O" ring is not included in their parts list and it is not an available Suzuki part.

I contacted Suzuki Head office (who were sympathetic) and was told that neither the "O" ring or the mixture screw assembly was available and a new carburettor would be required.

Can you see a dealer asking a customer to pay for a new carb when during an outboard service they might find a damaged tiny "O"ring that cost less than a penny to make!

So no thanks Suzuki, I am off to my local tool shop for a suitable "O" ring replacement.
