Best octane and idle mixture question

I have a 1994 Johnson outboard 48 hp (model J48ESLERD). I just replaced the fuel pump/filter unit and the cleaned the plugs/checked the gap. It's running ok, but seems a tad rough. I'm wondering if my choice of octane (89) is less than ideal. All wondering if the idle mixture could use an adjustment and where/which would be the idle mixture screw, if so.

I'm pretty mechanically inclined. I was never a boater until I inherited this boat last year. Trying to get up to speed. Thx for any help.

look up your model number on this site, its got all the system part breakdowns, you'll find the adjustment screw in carb break down, my older 48 doesn't have idle adjustments, so i'll shut-up about adjustments, someone should reply with more detailed info

leave the timing alone it.is.set mechanically. And unless somebody moved it.or something catostrophic happend to the motor the timing is fine.
