No spark Mariner F 20hp fourstroke manual start

Hi all,

Recently bought a mariner 20hp 4 stroke manual start. I've popped the spark plugs out and done the old hold against engine block check and i'm getting no sparks when trying to start the engine, any troubleshooting advice I can try? Plugs are new and properly calibrated and the engine has been serviced in the last 3 months...

Well then. It's time to test the resistance and or voltage output of the stator and trigger coils.
I don't have the specifications for your motor. But I'm sure someone here knows. If the stator etc checks out okay. Then the switchbox is at fault..
