I have a 1989 Yamaha FT 9.9 EXF which i bought new. I now have it on a different boat and its a little underpowered so before I put a bigger motor on I would like to try to increase the power of the existing motor. The manual shows 232cc with a full throttle range of 3500 - 4500 rpm which seems low. Anyway I was wondering if anyone has done this conversion and if its just a carb change or if there are other parts involved.
