1980 70 hp 3cyl issue

Hoping for some boat guys input if possible. Took the lower unit off of my 1980 Mercury outboard to replace the impeller. This is what I found. Does anyone know what this plastic pc that melted is called and possibly somewhere I could find one? Appreciate any help or direction.IMG_20190517_094338.jpgimage000000.jpg
 
That indicates to me that the water pump failed letting very hot exhaust melt that rubber seal.-----Available right here on this site if you are a " click , click " shopper.-----Or most Mercury dealers would have it in stock.-----I would do a compression test first.

What is that called out as? Impeller housing gasket?
