I am running out of ideas. Please help. My 25hp 2 stroke merc has a lot of unturned fuel discharging from exhaust, poor fuel economy, and wet plugs.
I have swapped out and rebuilt carb, adjusted carb, replaced power pack, coils, wires, plugs, timed it, etc. Screwing in the idle mixture screw all the way doesn’t lean it out. Always rich.. Runs and idles fine just a little hesitant at takeoff. Compression good, spark, fuel lines, etc. all good. Same issues even after carb swap. Correct jet.
Anyone? Would reed block cause this? Don’t see fuel spitting from carb.
