Water intake screen for Johnson 55 HP (1980)

Hi Folks.

I have a Johnson 55HP from 1980 (engine model 55EL80C).

Im looking for a water intake screen replacement part 0320042. This is the part: https://www.marineengine.com/newparts/part_details.php?pnum=OMC0320042&pass_title=0320042+: however its obsolete and theres no-one selling it on ebay (this was the only one here https://www.ebay.com/itm/SCREEN-320042/292566479504?hash=item441e523290:g:PhoAAOSwgtxcTY9p but after I bought it the guy told me actually he doesnt have it!).

Anyone know if theres a replacement part that will fit in the same way? The previous owner did this it seems but has cut the plastic in order to make it fit and I was rather hoping to avoid having to do that.

What gearcase is on your motor ??-----2 cylinder or 3 cylinder ( hybrid ) as used on commercial models ?------Post picture of the top of bearing housing below water pump.----Or how many screws hold the propshaft bearing housing in ?-----Is it 4 screws or 3 screws ??

Hi! Actually I'm not sure but I would love to know that too. Here are the photos I think you asked for. 3 screws on the propshaft bearing housing. Does that imply its a 2 cylinder?

That is the regular 2 cylinder gearcase.-----Fact for you should you believe it.---The regular 2 cylinder gearcase is not robust.-----For heavy duty " commercial " rated 2 cylinder motors a 3 cylinder gearcase was adapted to fit the 2 cylinder motors.
