I have a 2008 25hp 4 stroke murcury. When ever I go full throttle for a minute or less sometimes (depending on if its already been running) I get a red warning like with a continuous alarm sounding. I've found that if I run the engine just under full throttle (like 90%) it doesn't sound the alarm or red light. Oil level is fine I run 10w30 amsoil and a mercury oil filter.. the motor is peeing out water fine but I'm still going to replace the Impeller. What would cause this? To high of rpms? Thermostat?
