I bought a older 2 stroke 25 hp outboard engine. Took it out the other day. It ran like a scalded dog. Started right up first push of the button. Today took out ran good at first. Got done with fishing came back to put boat on trailer. Died as soon as I started putting into the ramp. I pulled the primer beside the start button, and it ran for a few seconds and died. Wouldn’t start back at all. Got back home and pulled spark plugs out. They looked to be a little wet. It cranked after I put it back in. I feel like that shouldn’t have nothing to do with it dying coming in. What do you all think?

Yes ran some sea foam through it. It seems like problem is getting better. I think maybe carburetor or fuel pump. It’s like I go to open engine, and it dies. It starts good, and will idle for a bit.

Have you tried pumping the primer ball when that happens? Seafoam is not a fix to properly service a carb it must be torn down and soaked.
