Cutting out old stringers, what tool?

What’s a good power tool to use for cutting out old stringers?
i have one of those vibrating tools but maybe my blade isn’t aggressive enough, doesn’t cut very well.
Also what works good for sanding down the fiberglass rise left behind from the stringer? Thanks
 
sawzall should get most of it pretty quickly - keep some blades handy.

a sander usually takes of any ridge.....if its substantial, a belt sander with a course belt make be more effective than a DA or Disk Sander.
 
Ayuh,..... My 4.5" angle grinder is my "Go-to" tool,.......

Lotsa different wheels are available, for alota different jobs,....
