Mariner Help identify model?

??----But parts are looked up using the serial number that you have.------Talk to a person at a dealer service desk !!
 
A lot of dealers "seem" to struggle finding info on these types of serial numbers possibly because the people working the parts counter didn't really make boating service a "career" like some of us went for that now like to try and help out others here where we can ?.;)

They'd (the dealer) need/s to look for the serial number range of 9792200 - 0P016999 (Belgium) under 8-HP. Here's your parts guide online for you though,

And I'm sure you know it's a 1997 model year.
 
Thanks guys! I was confused because on plate says 10hp... And by serial number showed notnhing.... Got it with boat and will try to fix it... Cheers guys...

Didn't even pay enough attention to the 10-HP of the plate.. Just went off of the 8-HP on the cowling.

Since the plate mentions a 10-HP (AKA 9.9 US) then this would be the parts guide to use..., 9792200 - 0P016999 (Belgium) http://www.marineengine.com/parts/mariner-outboard-parts/10-sea-pro/9792200-thru-0p016999-bel
