Oil in plug tubes - BF225

Servicing one of my motors today (~400hrs) and noticed that plug #1 was weeping oil from the coil. The tube and plug head had oil on - not lot - maybe a teaspoon. Plug seemed to be in tight. #2 and #3 were slightly oily but not as bad - could have dripped down from above. Other bank of plugs were all fine.

Normal or something I should address?

note - this is my first time servicing myself so I don’t have a good baseline for “normal” yet :)

This is not normal, the plug tube seal in the tappet cover need replacing, probably worth doing them all whilst you're there

From looking at shop manual 9-30 looks like I pull the cylinders head cover off to replace the seals. Looks straight forward enough. Couple of questions

1. Can I do this without draining oil first? I ask as I’ve just drained my oil and am about to fill it - don’t wanna waste all that oil.

2 should I get a new head cover gasket when I order seals?
