1999 Mercury 115HP ELPTO alarm question

Hello,
I have a 1999 115 mercury on a 2000 nitro bass boat, when I first turn on the key there is no beep.
Should there be an audible alarm to let me know the system is functioning correctly?

I've checked at the buzzer under the dash, the purple wire has 12 volts when the key is turned on
If I ground the tan with blue tracer the buzzer will sound
if I unplug the temp sensor at the engine and ground the tan wire the buzzer will sound
same results if I ground the oil tank sensor,

I have checked the parts diagrams on this web site and don't see any modules labeled alarm.

There should be a test beep when the ignition is turned on. The alarm is usually in the control box for an outboard.

is there a controller for the key on test beep?

Yes. The ecm

No beep if carb model.....

Its a carb model, doesnt seem to have a controller or ECM so Im guessing its good to go. Thanks Guys
