I have owned this boat a couple years. This last week when loading the boat I noticed I didnt have reverse. I had reverse when unloading. Didnt hit anything while on the water. Forward and neutral work fine.
I disconnected the linkage to manually shift to reverse. The prop still spins freely when manually shifted to reverse. Just trying to think of something simple before taking to the shop. I've never experienced any grinding of gears or anything like that either.
Im guessing it is a clutch dog or something in that area, but hoping for something else.
